Jessica Berlin is a foreign policy analyst and commentator.

Her career has spanned 16+ years in security, foreign policy, economic development, and tech, including work with government agencies, civil society, and the private sector across four continents.

She focuses on transatlantic security, African-European relations, and Germany’s evolving role in the world. Her commentary has been featured by DW News, BBC, CNN, the Washington Post, Al Jazeera English, ZDF, ARD, France 24, Tagesspiegel, NZZ, Bild, et al. Her work for Ukraine has been profiled in the Berliner Zeitung.

Berlin is the founder of the strategy consultancy CoStruct, Vice Chairman at pan-African fintech company :brij, and the recipient of numerous honorary fellowships, including from the German Marshall Fund of the United States, BMW Foundation, Robert Bosch Foundation, Atlantic Dialogues, GlobSec, et al. 

 

A frequent keynote speaker, her TEDx on the transatlantic democratic crisis has been described as "one of the most powerful and inspiring TED talks.”

She holds an M.Sc. in Political Economy of Emerging Markets from King’s College London, a B.A. in International Relations from Tufts University, and speaks five languages.
